| The
CourtGlass-Glaverbel fin glass backwall
A finned backwall
stands alone, requiring no attachment exept for at the court sidewalls
and at the concrete slab below. At both these locations (sides and floor)
the glass is located in an aluminum U-channel that is fixed to the substrate.
A finned backwall consists of four glass panels and one door, all fabricated
of ½" (12mm) tempered glass. This wall is supported by four
fins, typically the same height as the glass wall and in standard heights,
measuring 12" wide. The purpose of the fins is to aid in the distribution
of impact on the glass wall panels into the concrete below. All CourtGlass
backwalls are delivered with 36" (914 cm) wide (ADA-compliant) door
and can be configured for either flat slab or depressed slab installation.
All walls are delivered complete with all fittings required for.

| CourtGlass-Glaverbel
glass hardware:
The glass wall hardware is extruded aluminum finished with an automotive-quality
white coating, eliminating any chance of discoloration with age, a common
problem with plastic and nylon fittings. Aluminum is also demonstrably
stronger and more structurally stable than non-metal fittings used on
many competitors' walls. All doors are hung with three hinges to prevent
sag and stand up to long-term use.

CourtGlass-Glaverbel
hinges are designed to prevent interference with the exposed edges of
glass and to reduce any possibility of fingers
getting trapped between the door and adjacent side glass. In addition to
maximum design for use, the CourtGlass-Glaverbel hardware is also aesthetically-pleasing,
using higher-strength materials in smaller size so as to maximize spectators'
enjoyment of play and be as unobtrusive as possible. The CourtGlass-Glaverbel
door latch uses a knob and D-ring combination to provide a positive locking
function and create minimum obstruction on the playing side of the wall.

ProView vision enhancement technology
For glass side- or frontwalls,
chosen as design features for some court facilities, it is necessary
to have a treatment applied to the glass such that players have an accurate
view of the ball while spectators are able to enjoy watching play on the
court. For this purpose CourtGlass-Glaverbel
offers the ProView "Club", an open, or reversed, dot treatment
that results in a relatively opaque playing surface and a relatively clear
viewing opportunity at the same time. This treatment consists of one color
ceramic screen-paint, usual white, but colors available on request, that
is fused into the glass during the hardening process, creating a proper
play wall with surface tension and a surface that cannot be degraded by
racquets, sweat, glass cleaner, etc.

| For
four-sided professional tournament glass courts, CourtGlass-Glaverbel
offers ProView II, a special decal treatment incorporating a double-dot
system (usual white over black) that provides optimal vision for players
and spectators alike in an environment where there are no solid backgrounds
to provide contrast. The ceramic decal dots are fused to the glass during
the hardening process, similar to the screen-paint in ProView "Club"
. This process can be supplied in several colors to suit demand. The CourtGlass-Glaverbel
portable tournament glass court is designed with the minimum number of
unique glass panels; this allows cost-effective maintenance of spares,
an important factor in a court that is to be erected and demounted regularly.
